I know it's been forever since I blogged regularly. A lot has happened! But I'm hoping to be back and creating content regularly very soon! As you can may have guessed, my husband and I are moving to British Columbia, Canada! In the greater Vancouver area to be more specific. Adam got offered a job in BC around six months ago. We moved from Phoenix to Washington and he's been commuting across the border since April. We love America, but we're ready to move across the border and work towards permanent residency.
Moving has been a crazy adventure. I've lived in Phoenix my entire life, so the move to Northern Washington was a huge change. I would be lying if I didn't say that the move definitely took an emotional tole on me. But the one thing I've really taken away from these huge changes is the skill of leaning in. As scary as it is I've learned that my life is going to move on without me. I can either stand by and watch life happen to me, or lean into it and enjoy the moment. I'm writing a blog post that goes into more detail about how I dealt with all the crazy changes in my life and can't wait to share it with you.
I can definitely say that Vancouver is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. It will be an honor to call it home. Oh, and by the way the picture above was taken from a helicopter. Like I said, the last six months have been absolutely WILD. I really regret that I've been so awful about communicating and documenting my adventures. I'm determined to get back on track! I'm really excited to start sharing my life with you guys again. In some sense I think the next posts will be like a little bit of therapy for me. I'm still figuring everything out.
To those of you who have made any big moves, I would appreciate any advice. I really have no idea what I'm doing. Adam and I are just making it up as we go. I've definitely become more comfortable with the spontaneity of our life, but would appreciate some tips on how to build structure when you don't know what's coming next.
